Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a next-generation public cloud built to run enterprise-grade applications in a highly secure, hosted environment with high performance and availability.

Many organisations are currently investigating a multi-cloud approach so that they don’t become too dependent on one cloud. Moving Oracle workloads to OCI is an excellent way to test this approach, particularly as businesses require Oracle’s enterprise-grade, organisation-wide platforms and applications to perform at top speed while also limiting costs.

Put simply, Oracle runs better on Oracle. However, there are many more reasons why investigating OCI should be at the top of your IT leadership team’s agenda.

DXC Technology has already migrated 60 per cent of their customers with onpremises
infrastructure to OCI within the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) region. This deep experience in migrating various workloads ensures customers can benefit from a reduced migration timeline, so they can make the most of OCI, achieving superior performance at a lower total cost of ownership (TCO).

One DXC client achieved 30 per cent savings when they migrated their workloads to OCI. Oracle also offers a 25 per cent rebate on cloud consumption costs for customers who have on-premises licenses and move to OCI. This can also have a significant impact on TCO.

DXC Business Insights assessment program – the proven move to OCI

To help customers determine the best approach for their future Oracle and cloud roadmap, DXC has developed a Business Insights assessment program. This program brings together key stakeholders to assess business and IT priorities, pain points, strategic roadmaps, costs, and delivery models. Through Business Insights, DXC reviews cloud costs and optimisation, licensing, delivery models, risks, and timelines, delivering a TCO projection that identifies exactly what the organisation can save.
